Rainbow Autism CIC was founded by a specialist social worker and mother of a daughter with Aspergers. It developed through her passion to help those with high functioning autism and their carers get the support and services they require to achieve personal development and live the life they choose. Since pioneering a drop-in service in Worcestershire and developing an outreach support service we have we have worked hard to provide support where it's most needed.

Our staff and volunteers are made up of people with experience of autism (some are themselves on the spectrum) and a range of valued and useful life and personal skills.

If you want to become a member of Rainbow or know of someone that would benefit from our support please email us and ask for a referral form.

Past Achievements

Following years of experience of working with both adults and children at various points on the autistic spectrum our chief executive (Mandy Shrimpton) became increasingly disillusioned by the lack of support and understanding for the condition. With a vision in mind she gave up her full-time job as a specialised social worker and pioneered a support service for those with high functioning autism in the Worcestershire area to try to help solve some of the problems. That was in April 2009 and despite a challenging economic environment we have achieved many successes, with some life-changing results for the better.
